Jack of all Trades, Master of None

As a lover of learning, and human alive where pivoting is a thing I find it hard to avoid being a “Jack of all trades, master of none”.

To avoid this it’s important to have yourself rooted. Once you are rooted you can branch off. Try and keep yourself true to your roots. For example I find my roots in computer science, and I try to make sure my branches can be traced back to it.

It is important to be a renaissance man, meaning you should be well rounded. Being well rounded is good, but being all over the place is not. Following the next hot trend can leave you with a lot of different skills that aren’t completely developed.

I’m not saying you need to master 1 skill, but make sure you have some sense of direction.
